Sun, Clouds, and Weather Preferences in Daily Life
Exploring My Weather Preferences: Sun, Clouds, and Everything In Between
Neither do I like the sun with no clouds nor just a pure blue sky. The variety in weather is what I crave. Overcast days with intermittent rain and thunderstorms or pea soup fog with misting are my favorites. However, I would detest if these conditions persisted endlessly, much like the unending summer.Overcast and Gray Skies: My Favorite Condition
I lean more towards gray and dark skies, rather than very cloudy ones. Being a lover of variety, I find long stretches of similar weather monotonous. My ideal weather conditions are when the temperature stays between 55°F to 70°F (13°C to 21°C) with an overcast sky and occasional rain or thunderstorms. Alternatively, pea soup fog with misting is a pleasant change, especially if I am not driving. However, I would hate if these conditions became a norm for months on end, as it happens during the summer season sometimes.
Blue Skies and Their Charm
On the other hand, I adore blue skies, a feeling that surpasses all. A deeper blue than any pair of eyes I may have gazed into and more carefree than a 7-year-old boy in a sandpit. Logistically, pure blue skies are delightful in winter, while they feel like a recipe for hell during the summer. Nonetheless, clouds can offer a welcome respite on a particularly scorching summer day, providing much-needed shade and cooler temperatures. On a more profound level, pure blue skies filled with sunshine are better for dealing with loneliness. Daytime feels more relieving than the night. The air is not so suffocatingly dense and the light illuminates the world, revealing that you are not alone as you initially felt. On a flip side, clouds add character and pizzazz to an otherwise striking blue canvas. As a child, I would imagine there were fairies living in those fluffy clouds, with the Cloud Castle just past a cumulus cloud shaped like a duck where the fairies were busy working.
Favorite Clouds and Sunset Beauty
My favorite clouds are wispy cirrus clouds. Light and swift brushstrokes that don’t need to be there but are still greatly appreciated. As the sun sets after a long, weary day, the clouds turn these lovely shades of pink and orange; it’s breathtaking. I could spend hours cloud-gazing, taking in the beauty of life in its fullest.Whether it’s a deep indigo overcast, warm sunshine, or puffy clouds painting the sky, my weather preferences are varied and cherished. Variety is the spice of life, or so I believe.
