Personal Experience of a GET at Sterlite Technologies

Having been a part of the Sterlite Technologies family for nearly three years, I have gained invaluable experience as a GET (Graduate Engineer Trainee). Initially, we were all assigned independent projects to understand the technical processes at the product development stage. After two months, we were distributed across different trades based on our backgrounds. Given the relevance of chemical engineering to the fiber division, it is highly likely that you would be absorbed in the Fiber Optics (OF) division, which provides a great learning environment and career prospects for chemical graduates. The Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) division, on the other hand, offers limited scope for chemical graduates. It is crucial to specify your preference for the OF division during the GET induction process with HR.
