Review of the Hindi TV Show Krpkab 3: A Masterpiece in Indian Television

Just watched the last episode of Krpkab 3, and it was a simple yet powerful ending. Honestly speaking, season 3 was initially planned to be something else, but it turned out as something unexpected. When the show's promo came, I thought that Devakshi would fight over silly issues, and eventually, they would realize their love for each other, and everything would be just perfect. However, it's not quite that simple.

The Plot and Production

The first major mistake the makers did was obviously Suhana not being the daughter of Devakshi, but that was quite acceptable. Unfortunately, the introduction of Sanjana was disastrous. When I learned that Krpkab 3 wasn't getting TRPs, I did some research and found some interesting results. Krpkab came Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm on Sony TV. According to my research, at 8:30 pm, the shows that came on different channels are:

Gaining TRP 2-3 million every week and coming in top 5 or 10 - Imlie on Star Plus Gaining TRP 1.5-2.5 million coming in top 10 every week - Bhagyalakshmi on Zee TV Gaining TRP 2-3 million and coming in top 3 - Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma on Sab TV Barrister Babu on Colors - Not very popular Br Ambedkar - Very popular among elderly people Tera Mera Saath Rahe on Star Bharat - Not much popular but a remake of Saath Nibhana Saathiya so fans watch it anyway

According to me, if these much popular shows are coming at a particular time, how can a new show with a weak plot continue? Yes, it had a weak plot, and that's why it wasn't getting TRPs. That's why they introduced Sanjana. If they got TRPs, why would they introduce a new character? The timeslot was very wrong, and that's why the storyline was ruined. Erica felt that she should leave the show because her character was shown very weak. So, I think this season could have come out well if the timeslot was something else. The plot was initially going well, just the timing that was the problem.

The Show's Strengths

Despite this, Krpkab 3 is a gem made in the history of Indian television series. The storyline is perfect without any stretching. The male lead, Shaheer Sir (Dev Dixit), is portrayed as a proper mature businessman, fitting his role well. The sound effects are minimal, without any unnecessary noise. There are no affairs or toxic people, and the love story is portrayed naturally. Their separation was not over-dramatic, and the reunion of the father-daughter was shown with utmost importance and innocence.

Contrary to other shows, no crime or supernatural activities were given importance. The reunion was long-awaited and portrayed beautifully. The social messages conveyed through the storyline were noteworthy, unlike others, where the storylines are stretched just to increase TRPs.

Character Performances

The role played by SupriyaMaam was perfect a mother who cares or is overprotective for her son and cannot bear anyone else in her son's life. This is a problem faced in modern society. The love story between Dev and Sonakshi is portrayed so naturally that one would have a doubt if it's a real story. The romance, friendship, and all were portrayed so well that it felt like a real relationship. The separation and reunion were portrayed beautifully, without any overdramatic scenes.

EricaMaam as Sonakshi was also shown as an independent and true feminist. From a nutritionist to a businesswoman, and eventually, a single mother who took care of her family and brother for almost 7 years, this character is what needs to be shown to encourage the public. The supportive lead role played by Vicky was well-essayd. The portrayal of the sisters, especially the elder one Neha, was amazing. Her frustration is clearly shown, with all the attention given to her elder brother and younger sisters and being neglected.

Lastly, the supporting cast, including Sonakshi's parents, provided everything one could have asked for. Their care and concern for their daughter, giving right advice, and supporting her in all situations were portrayed beautifully.

Final Review

IF YOU HAVE MISSED KUCH RANG PYAAR KE AISE BHI THEN YOUVE DEFINITELY MISSED A MASTERPIECE. Personally, I hate or rather one can say dislike Indian TV serials as they have the same storyline, like the lead actress will save her family from goons, and she will be an ideal housewife and always be given the blame for any situation. However, this show was all different and eventually became my favorite. So, please, if possible, do watch it.

Final Thought

At last, every good thing comes to an end. Pratham~
