Once HR contacts you, they will ask for a reason for your resignation. If they can assist, they will do so. Otherwise, they will demand the service agreement breakage penalty of 50,000 to 1,000,000 INR, after which they will immediately start the resignation process. After paying the penalty, no salary will be paid for the work done in the last 2 weeks. No experience letter, conduct certificate, or any document associating you with TCS will be provided. You will be free to leave under these conditions.

Alternatively, you can simply stop going to work. The company will attempt to contact you a few times before declaring you as an absconder. Without documents, you will not be able to rejoin TCS for the rest of your career and will have to start job hunting from scratch.

Considering Your Options

Agree to Resign: Negotiate for a relieving letter and an experience certificate. Ensure that all your dues are settled promptly. Do Not Resign: Serving a termination letter can be a strategic move. This can serve as proof of your work experience to future employers. Legal Action: Consider legal action against the company for wrongful termination. However, prepare for a prolonged legal battle, as the company will likely employ top-notch lawyers to fight your case. Legal proceedings in India can be lengthy and draining.
