How to Transfer a Domain from GoDaddy to Redserverhost: A Step-by-Step Guide

Follow the steps below to transfer domain from GoDaddy to Redserverhost:

Step 1: Login to GoDaddy Domain Control Panel

To start the transfer process, you need to log into the GoDaddy Domain Control Panel where you can manage all your domains. Follow these steps to proceed:

Step 1.1: Log in to GoDaddy Domain Details Page

Log in to the GoDaddy Domain Details page for the domain name that you want to transfer. Click the Domain and scroll down to Contact Information and click Edit.

Step 2: Unlock Your Domain Name

To unlock your domain name, follow these steps:

Step 2.1: Go to Additional Settings

Click on the Domain and scroll down to Additional Settings. Make sure the Lock setting is set to Off. If the domain locking is already Off, skip this step and get your domain’s transfer authorization code.

Step 3: Get Your Domain’s Transfer Authorization Code

Follow these steps to get your domain’s EPP Code:

Login to the GoDaddy and go to Domain Manager. Click on the Domain scroll down to Transfer Domain option. GoDaddy will then take you to a page where it will ask you the reason for transferring. You can also leave the “Why are you transferring” box blank if you wish. Click on Continue with transfer button. In a few minutes, you will receive an email from GoDaddy containing your transfer authorization code/EPP Code.

Step 4: Transfer Domain to Redserverhost

Now that you have your EPP Code, you can proceed with transferring your domain to Redserverhost:

Log in to your Redserverhost client area. Go to the Domain section and click on Transfer Domain to us. Submit the domain name and EPP Code. Click on Add to Cart. After this, you will be redirected to a page where you have to review your domain configuration and then click on Continue to move ahead. Proceed to checkout.

Step 5: Final Steps and Confirmation

After completing the checkout process, your transfer will begin. Note that transfers can take up to 5-7 days to complete.

[Note: Any domain cannot be transferred after the date of expiry.]
