For instance, a 19-inch CRT might have a viewing area of only 18 inches, whereas an LCD of the same dimension would offer a full 19-inch diagonal picture. This difference is significant in terms of visual immersion and spatial efficiency.

Picture Quality: The picture quality on LCDs is sharper and crisper compared to CRTs. The resolution on LCDs is notably higher, providing detailed images with better clarity. Moreover, the mat-type screen of an LCD eliminates any glare, making it more comfortable to view, especially in bright environments.

Economic and Environmental Benefits

Cost: The cost per square inch of screen is far lower with LCDs than with CRTs. This reduction in cost has made LCD displays more accessible and economical for consumers.
